Wiretap Catches Philadelphia Man Who Used Alias During Assault, Police Say

A wiretap helped police identify Nhan H. Nguyen also known as Tommy Louboutin, following a sexual assault, police announced on Wednesday, Oct. 25.

A woman was sexually assaulted in the first block of North Chruch Street in Quarryville on Aug. 4, the police explained. 

The assault happened following a date with a man known to her as "Tommy Louboutin."

Evidence from the assault was found in the woman's bedroom. The Quarryville Police continued to investigate the assault and over the next few weeks, they discovered "Louboutin's" true identity was Nhan H. Nguyen of Philadelphia.

The police then "developed additional evidence against Nguyen utilizing wiretap technology," as stated in the release. 

He was arrested on a warrant "at his place of business in Kennett Square, Chester County," on Oct. 20, the police said.

He was charged with the following according to the police and confirmed by court documents: felony aggravated indecent assault without consent and a misdemeanor for indecent assault- without consent of another. 

He was extradited to Lancaster County and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge William E. Benner, Jr. who set his bail at $150,000, the police explained. He remains in the Lancaster County Prison after failing to post bail. 

His preliminary has been set before Magisterial District Judge Stuart J. Mylin at 9 a.m. on Nov. 1, according to his court docket.
